The long-standing PNE Fair will be open from August 20 through September 5.
Attendance capacity restrictions will continue to be in place, as last year due to Covid, because that way fair-goers can enjoy more personal space and shorter lineups, something they were thankful for in 2021.
Also, the Summer Nights Concert will return, including performances by The B-52s, The Beach Boys, Chicago, TLC and many more.
Playland, the amusement park, just opened up on June 18, running through August 19, and has announced a new game: Skybender, “a new thrill ride featuring dynamic action sequences, with a combination of gravity drops and accelerations.”, which will be open on July 1, 2022.
Some days and evenings are already sold-out, as Playland has limited assistance, as well.

Summer nights are to be enjoyed and movies are to be seen with a crowd on a big screen, those are facts! And you can prove these facts at the yearly EVO Summer Cinema festival held at Stanley Park every Tuesday from July 5 to August 23, 2022. And even better, it’s FREE!
The movies are always big crowd pleasers that aim at all range of spectators, no matter the age. The movies this year are The Lion King, Zoolander, Top Gun, Jurassic Park, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Dirty Dancing, and Grease. And people can vote online for the movie to be shown on August 2, which could be Spice World, Bohemian Rhapsody, or Rocketman.
Make a date, picnic or friends gathering out of it, lay down on the Grand Lawn at Ceperley Meadows near Second Beach or maybe on one of the free first-come, first-serve lawn chairs, and enjoy the stars on the big screen and in the sky.
