People say that “money doesn’t buy happiness,” but boy, it helps!
One of the main concerns when moving to another country or when you start a new career is: will I earn enough money?
In case you ever wondered if it was worth taking a chance to #StudyAbroad, here’s some info that might answer your questions and give you some perspective.
Hopefully, it’s the little “push” you needed to pack your suitcases for a better life in #Vancouver with #CiraCollege.
Let’s start from the beginning:
Canada doesn’t have a country-wide minimum wage, as every province establishes their own parameters. There is a Federal Rate, which .applies to workers and interns in federally regulated private sectors, including banks, postal and courier services, and interprovincial air, rail, road, and marine transportation.
The minimum wage applies regardless of how employees are paid – hourly, salary, commission or on an incentive basis. If an employee’s wage is below minimum wage for the hours they worked, the employer must top up their payment so that it’s equal to minimum wage.
So, talking about minimum wage, we’re gonna split it in two: Federal Rate and province-wise.
