Luckily for us here at CIRA College, we have some of these wonderful eats right next door! Check out this list to change up your routine of Tim Horton’s and Starbucks. Every option is within a 10 minute walking distance!

Coming all the way from Japan to grace us with two Vancouver locations, Santouka Ramen is a highlight of the Vancouver Ramen scene. With delicious classics and fun features, this is the spot to go when you need a bit of a warm up.
Meat & Bread (11 am – 3 pm) 796 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1J5
A truly incredible local eatery, Meat and Bread opened their doors in 2010 and now have 5 locations including one in Calgary! We’re lucky enough to have one of those locations just down the street. Their specialty is their Porchetta Sandwich, but their Grilled Cheese is a great option for vegetarians!

A great healthy option, Tractor has made its presence known all over Vancouver. Stop in for a healthy bowl or take a wrap to go! You can even order online to speed up the process.
Yolk’s (8 am – 3 pm) 546 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5Z 1E9
Much more brunch than lunch, Yolk’s is one of the most consistently delicious brunch places in Vancouver. Their lemon truffle potatoes are a must have, and the fresh fruit salad they serve is such a treat. And of course, the bennies are out of this world!
Fufu Cafe (11 am – 6 pm) 1266 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6H 1G6
Have you ever seen those big gorgeous fluffy Japanese pancakes scrolling through your Instagram feed? It no longer has to be just a dream! Fufu cafe is serving up stacks just a few blocks away from campus. The perfect spot for a midday snack and study!

When you think happy hour, you might not think Japanese Barbeque – but that’s where you’re wrong. Gyu-Kaku’s Happy Hour Deals are great – and grilling your own food is always fun!

Want to have a variety of Southeast Asian food without breaking the bank? Banana Leaf is the place to go! With rotating daily specials and a 25$ tasting menu, you can try so many different dishes.
Salmon N Bannock (5 pm – 9 pm) 1128 W Broadway #7, Vancouver, BC V6H 1G5
With a staff representing the Carrier-Sekani, Haida, Long Plain, Muskoday, Nuxalk, Ojibway, Pinaymootang, Quw’utsun, Squamish and Tsimshian nations, Salmon n Bannock is a must try. As Vancouver’s only Indigenous owned and operated restaurant, they use authentic flavors and organic wild caught ingredients to create their incredible dishes.
Tojo’s (4 pm – 10 pm) 1133 W Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6H 1G1
Though Tojo’s may be a little more expensive than most of the options on this list, trying Tojo’s out is a must while you’re in Vancouver. The creator of the California Roll and the BC Roll, Chef Tojo has been making a mark on the city for years. Tojo’s continues to innovate, and we’re so lucky to have such an amazing spot so close!
