5 Reasons to Study at CIRA College Vancouver

1. Co-op Job Placements

During the second year of our Media Design & Web Development program, students will be working in the industry to gain valuable work experience. The Co-op experience is a full-time work experience. During this time, students may work up to 40 hours a week, thus, they don’t enroll in any classes. The Co-op program provides students with a more in-depth and extensive work experience, which can give students a competitive advantage in the job market over their peers.

Benefits of Co-op:

  • Gain real industry work experience. Rather than just learning in class, you can learn real world skills while working with experienced and talented people.
  • Improve English Skill.  You can work in an English-speaking environment while gaining work experience.
  • Discover new strengths and skills. You are challenging yourself to grow in a Co-op program. You will develop important skills necessary for your future career success.
  • Confirm career decisions. With a Co-op program, you have the opportunity to try working at a company before selecting your future career path.
  • Build your resume. The job market has become very competitive. Nowadays, employers value job experience more than school grades. Students need to build their career resume as soon as possible to support their future career.
  • Grow network. During your Co-op working period, you have the chance to meet new people and gain references for future employment. As a result of these connections, you may receive job offers in the future.

Co-op wages and salaries in Vancouver, Canada

Our Co-op work placements are paid positions. CIRA College offers Co-op program partners with local businesses to ensure students find a work placement and are paid.

2. Payment Plan

CIRA College offers payment plans to students. This option allows students to pay their tuition in installments, rather than in one lump sum. Tuition payment plans allow parents and students to avoid having to make large payments at once, which can be tough on household budgets. The student can pay the remaining balance after the deposit in 5 monthly installments.

3. Adobe Creative Cloud Suite Subscription ($10,000 value!)

Adobe creative cloud is a collection of 20+ desktop and mobile apps and services for photography design, video, web, UX and more. If you get accepted into our Media Design & Web Development program, you will receive a yearly subscription which is worth up to $10,000 value.

4. Cultural Diversity

Every year, Vancouver welcomes more than 150,000 international students looking for education in Canada. At CIRA College, we welcome students from all over the world; Chile, Columbia, Mexico, Indonesia, Korea, Peru, Italy, India, Brazil and more. Our staff understands what is like to move to Canada to learn, live and work in a new country. Some of our staff began their professional career in Canada as international students.

Cultural diversity makes our college a better place to learn. By experiencing diversity in college, students will be comfortable working and interacting with a variety of individuals of all nationalities. Diversity creates an environment where students can learn and grow: and expand their awareness, welcome multiple perspectives and help build social skills.
