After graduating from the Business Manager Diploma at CIRA College, the students have the opportunity to transfer most of their credits to the Bachelor of Business Administration at Capilano University.

What is Business Management?

Business management is necessary for running any organization. It is involved with business decisions and manages the direction of operation of a company. In addition, the student will gain a clear grasp of all business functions including: accounting, economics, finance, human resources, operations, and marketing. Graduates analyze business problems, lead effective teams, and discover ways to improve overall business profitability and efficiency.

Course Structure

CIRA College’s Business Management Diploma is a one year full-time program (51 credits). Students will learn to:

  • Develop strategies for ongoing personal and professional development to enhance work performance in the business field.
  • Perform work in compliance with relevant statutes, regulations and business practices.
  • Conduct primary and secondary market research to provide information needed to make marketing decisions.
  • Develop personal professional development strategies and plans to enhance leadership, management skills, and marketing expertise.

Admission Requirements

  • High School diploma or certificate for international students that is equivalent to a High School diploma in Canada;
  • Canadian High School diploma or certificate for domestic students;
    Students must be 18 years and older;
  • Non-native English speakers must score:
    • TOEFL PBT – 513; CBT – 183; iBT – 65,
    • English 12: minimum final grade of 60%
    • TOEIC – 620,
    • IELTS – 5.5,
    • CIRA College Online Test – 70%.
